The consistory is pleased to share with the congregation that Ben Vos has agreed to become our next Director of Student Ministries. Many of our elders, deacons, students, and parents were able to meet Ben and Lisa Vos on June 14 to 16.
We wish to thank God for the Holy Spirit leading our search team to Ben, and for the Spirit’s clear guiding of Ben and Lisa to move to Orange City. While we are uncertain of Ben’s official beginning with us, it will be between August 1 and 15.

For those who have not met Ben, he is a 2008 graduate of NWC with a B.A. in Christian Education and Youth Ministry. He has served for four years as the Youth Pastor of Shannon Oaks Church in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Ben grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, where he worshiped at Christ’s Community Church of Glendale (RCA). His youth pastor growing up was Orange City native Jay Van Gelder. While at NWC, Ben interned at American Reformed and Maurice First Reformed.
Ben is married to Lisa (Muilenburg) Vos. Lisa grew up in rural Maurice and graduated from MOC/FV and NWC. She is a teacher and plans to continue working in education.
Some aspects of Ben’s ministry that our search team were attracted to included Ben’s clear sense of call from an early age, his mentors along the journey, and his extensive ministry experience in discipling young men and women to know, love, and serve Jesus.
